Composer Mendi Mengjiqi
Mendi Mengjiqi was born in Lupç i Epërm in 1958. He
finished Composition, in the class of Zginiew Bujarski and studied from 1990
through 1996. Afterwards, he finished post-undergraduate studies mentored by
the well-known professor Krizstof Penderecki in
From 2000 he has been working as a
pedagogue of composition, harmony and orchestration and compositional technique
in the Faculty of Arts - Branch of Musical Arts in university title of a
docent.
Since the
period of his studies Mendi Mengjiqi has been actively involved in music life,
composing many works that have been played in important national activities (in
Poland) as well as international ones such as Melos-Ethos, Bratislava (1991),

in the field of pedagogical activity:
Starting from the first graduated
generation and onwards students of Mendi Mengjiqi from the Composition Branch
have achieved excellent results in professional and artistic aspect. Works of
Mendi’s many students have been played and awarded in international
competitions such as
