첼로 송영훈
첼리스트 송영훈은 9세에 서울시향과 랄로 협주곡 협연으로 데뷔, 2001년에는 대통령상을 수상하였고, 2002년에는 헬싱키에서 열린 국제 파울로 첼로 콩쿠르에서 입상하였으며 한국을 대표하는 연주자로서 대한민국 문화홍보대사로 임명 받았다.
솔리스트로서 잉글리쉬 챔버 오케스트라, 뉴욕 챔버 오케스트라, 필라델피아 챔버 오케스트라 등 세계 유수 오케스트라와 협연하였다. 2016년 8월에는 세기의 첼리스트 파블로 카잘스가 직접 설립한 프랑스 카잘스 페스티벌, 2017년에는 난탈리 페스티벌에서 초청을 받아 연주하는 등 해외 유명 페스티벌에서 초청 연주를 펼쳐왔으며, 2013년부터 매해 꾸준히 초청받아 리사이틀 투어를 갖고 있다. 그는 연주 활동 이외에 2015년부터 KBS 1FM ‘송영훈의 가정음악’ 라디오 프로그램을 진행하며 대중들에게 클래식 음악을 알리는데 힘쓰고 있다. 뿐만아니라 2012년부터 현재까지 경희대학교 음대 관현악과 교수로서 후학양성에도 힘쓰고 있다.

Young
Song, is arguably the most sought after cellist in
his native Korea who combines a perfect technique and a warm sensibility. He
has performed to critical acclaim with orchestras and in solo recitals, toured
extensively as a chamber musician and as a guest principal with numerous
renowned orchestras.
As
recitalist and chamber musician, Young has performed in major music capitals
such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Frankfurt Alte Oper, Paris Salle Gaveau,
Tonhalle Zürich, Finlandia Hall, Santori Hall, Tokyo Opera City and Wigmore
hall and collaborated with eminent musicians such as Martha Argerich, Yuri
Bashmet, Myung Whun Chung and Arto Noras. Since 2013, He has been invited for
recital tour in Japan every year.
As
concerto soloist, he has appeared with world’s leading
Orchestras such as English Chamber Orchestra, New York Chamber Orchestra,
Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Finish Radio
Symphony Orchestra, etc.
Young made his debut at age 9 with the Seoul
Philharmonic and received the Seoul Mayor’ Scholarship
which enabled him to continue his studies at Juilliard’s
pre-college division, and at the Royal Northern College of Music in the U.K. Young has not only appointed by
Korean Cultural Ambassador in 2002 for represented Korean classic music artists
also he performed at 60 countries with 200 cities as a Korean Cultural
Ambassador. He is up to his reputation that Korea’s especial Cellist. From
2012, He is currently a professor at Kyung Hee University Music Dept. in South
Korea.
